The Go-Gos Were Not Lying!

VACATION ALL I EVER WANTED!

We just got back from a week away and after going on a successful trip last year, we weren't sure waht to expect but being the Disney nerds that we are, I have to say that this year was even better! Our plane rides were smooth and issue free, other than my constant worry (why is it that right before I fly, there seems to be various issues with people attempting to tamper with the aircraft????) The visit was absolutely magical and forgive me for being cheesy but filled with memories we will cherish forever! Some highlights:
  • Sydney's constant need to meet every and any character she came in contact with. She enthusiastically told Belle that "she needed to dance with a "Pince" (aka, pRince) but that she would do. Of course, Belle obliged
  • Riley's fearless pursuit of the three mountains (Space, Splash and Big Thunder Mountain)
  • Indulging in yummy food - my favorite, Tangerine Cafe, where we had some Moroccan Cuisine and the Aloha Salad at Capt Cooks. Yes, that will mean extra time working out this week, but well worth it!
  • When asked, Sydney stated her very favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion
  • The fact that the girls opted NOT to wait in the 2+ hour line to meet Rapunzel
  • Watching the fireworks on the beach from our resort at night
  • The girl's delight at seeing their resort's animal friends including many bunnies, ducks, ducklings, birds and lizards
  • An impromptu hula dancing class the girls joined mid day
  • The fact that I didn't have to do any dishes or laundry
  • SUN - hello East Coast, remember what the SUN looks like? In fact, we had SEVEN straight days of sun and warmth, with the exception of three hours of rain.
SO, this week will be all about getting back into our routine....back to making lunches, homework and loads of laundry.  Back to remembering all about why we needed a vacation to begin with and what the RAIN looks like here at home.

Happy Monday everybody!  Entering in the Bodylogic blog contest to see if I can win us another vacation to the best place in the world!  Check out the details here!

  5. Love, love, love Disney! We took our little girls there last winter. I had been there a couple of times as a teen and college aged (my brother actually got married there) but there is something so special about seeing Disney with your children!
