No Bake Granola Snacks - Inexpensive & Healthy

Last week I talked a little about making our own snacks in an effort to eat healthier and save money.  One of the new recipes we tried was a recipe that I found on Pinterest for these delcious no bake granola snacks.  First, let me tell you that I've made granola bars in the past and they've come out very well but these are the first no bake variety from Food Doodles that my family devoured.  So, here goes!
Makes 12 (Adapted from Oh She Glows)
  • 2 large overripe bananas
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup crunchy cereal (I used Kashi)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup(or any other sweetener you use but I used maple syrup and it worked well!)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter or other nut or seed butter
  • 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries or other fruit (we skipped this because I didn't have any on hand)
  • 2 – 4 tsp cocoa powder
Line a muffin pan with paper liners, or use a silicone muffin pan for easy removal. Mash the bananas. Add wet ingredients and cocoa powder and mix well. Add all other ingredients, mix well then press into prepared muffin tin. Freeze at least 60 minutes before serving.
Angela from Oh She Glows recommends eating them while they’re still soft, but we like keeping them in the freezer for easy snacks.
These are delicious and economical!  A great and healthy snack to add to your rotation this year!

  2. These look delicious!!! Adorable picture too :) I can't wait until our little b is old enough to actually help me cook. I backed a cake today and handed her spatula so she could be a part of the baking fun! Hope you had a wonderful Friday friend :)
