Birthday Surprise

I love surprises and go to great lengths to keep them special.  I feel like birthdays are super important so it seemed fitting to celebrate from morning till night.  I mean, you only turn eight once!

I snuck into her room in the wee hours and hung balloons all over.  It was really easy, inexpensive (I got a pack of hellium quality ballons at Dollar Tree) and had a huge "WOW" factor.  I just blew 'em up, tight a piece of multi colored yard to the top and attached them to her ceiling with a small piece of tape in random spots all over her room.  She woke up and was so surprised and excited!
Here birthday t-shirt was perfect for the theme of the day!  We love balloons around here - they make such a fun and colorful impact!
And do you see those teeny tiny framed footprints under her name?  Yup, those were Riley's at one day old, 6 months and 1 year.  Very different than my tall EIGHT year old girl!  She had a wonderful birthday!

Up next....a very SPECIAL birthday celebration for our niece this weekend, who will be turning four!
