Dragonfly Magnets - Easy Kid Craft!

Sometimes I just need to see the idea before I'll have the motivation to gather the supplies and actually encourage the kids to make something.  Recently, we saw this idea to make a Dragonfly magnet and it was the perfect quick craft for both girls.
Here's what you need -
  • Black construction paper (or any color, really....for the wings)
  • A craft stick - I got one that was wider at one end, like a wooden flat spoon
  • Glue
  • 2 small magnets
  • Marker or colored pencil/to decorate
  • Translucent paper (option)
Glue a piece of translucent paper on the widest end of your stick
Decorate the face for your bug on the opposite end
Trace or cut out wings for your dragonfly and decorate
Glue the wings to the middle of your craft stick
Stick two magnets on the back of the dragonfly
Wait an hour for it to dry and then....
let it fly!

Happy Monday!

  1. Great craft for kids! Emma loves making anything with a magnet...I think she just likes to put things on the fridge.
