Today is the day...

Today marks Sydney's official first day of preschool.  Yes, many littles are in school already but our preschool lags a bit and that is just fine with me, as I was in my "she'll never grow up" world for the past few days.  We had a great time at her orientation picnic.  She was a bit clingy at first, which came a shock to us, since she is typically the life of the party.  By the end of day, her true colors were shining through and she was keeping up with the best of them.  

Everyone keeps asking, "What are you going to do with ALL your time?"  To which I silently chuckle to myself.  Quite frankly, a couple hours a few times a week will not be life altering.  In fact, it will allow me to do those ever exciting things like volunteer in Riley's classroom, make time for a (gasp!) annual exam and maybe even get the tubs deep cleaned - I know, can you just feel that excitement?  Of course, this is all an effort to make myself OK with the fact that yet another little girl of mine is moving on....and those days of endless feedings and naps are long behind us. 

It's bittersweet and we're excited to introduce this new chapter into our life complete with new friends and experiences!
