New Uses, Old Things

Simple and economical, I took a few sheets of coordinating scrapbooking paper and covered old cans.  I was looking for a place to store markers, crayons and colored pencils.  It's so easy and the result is much more adorable than advertising cheap coffee!
Nothing fancy here but in my never ending quest to organize and house all these school supplies, this is an quick and easy redo!
Perhaps if I didn't have so many school supplies to buy for the kids, I could buy some decent coffee!  Do you have a quick tip for organizing or a great idea to repurpose an old item?

  1. What a great idea...although I buy the cheap coffee in bulk...so no cute little cans for me to cover. I have some little drawers that are supposed to go on a hutch for my desk that I don't use, and the kids have been using those for their school supplies. But, all of my peanut butter jars get washed and reused as glasses or for storing food :-)

  2. I really love this idea! What a great way to repurpose something that would otherwise be seen as trash. I am almost through my current coffee can, so I'll have to try this out!

  4. Cute! I love re purposing coffee cans! I saved a bunch of old plastic Folgers "cans" of different sizes. Then, I spray painted them in different shades of pastels, and am using them in the chicken coop to store different things.
