Glitter Globes (Easy DIY)

I love do-it-yourself projects, especially around the holidays because let's face it, not everybody has the budget to deck the halls as much as we want. What I love most about these glitter globes is that they are simple and pretty and you can make several without spending too much money. We have made traditional water snow globes in the past and the results were okay but the water got a little more cloudy than what we would like. These are leakproof and pretty durable for smaller hands.  This project is quick and makes a lovely decoration and pretty gift!

Materials
  • The jars of your choice
  • Glitter
  • Heavy-duty glue
  • Small ornaments, trinkets, anything goes. I purchased these bottlebrush trees for $1
Directions
  1. Prepare your surface by laying out a mat or craft paper
  2. Start by painting the top of your lids if desired the color of your choice (This is an optional step)
  3. Allow to dry
  4. On the back of the lid, glue your tree or object(s) to the base of the canning jar.
  5. Allow to dry for an hour
  6. Take a couple tablespoons of the glitter of your choice and fill clean jar
  7. Carefully close your jar and screw cap tightly on
  8. Shake and enjoy the glittery snow!
I love to place these around the girls bedrooms for more whimsical feel. I think decorations this time of year don't have to cost a fortune in order to be festive! Sydney absolutely loves gazing into her snowy jars especially when the sun comes in through them!  They really are beautiful!
