School Vacation Week and Valentine's Day Catch Up

Here we are in the very LAST week of February!  We are having a great week so far, school vacation week for us.  I can tell you that we've been making the most of our week!  It started out with a sunny, beautiful and 30 degree Sunday. We took the girls sledding and they spent the rest of the day building a GIANT snowman and snow-fort.  I can honestly say it was the first time in a while that they could enjoy ALL THIS SNOW!  They came in exhausted, happy and soaked! The cold temperatures returned earlier in the week but we got in a trip to the greenhouse and some special time in the kitchen.  Riley selected and executed dinner for us and it was delicious - I'll share that recipe later this week!

I'm happy we still have the rest of this week to enjoy.  February vacation is typically a "Stay-cation" for us, just a time to enjoy our family!

With that, I wanted to share a couple of their Valentine's for friends and classmates before we headed onto March.  MARCH!  That means soon we will be ready for seed planting and green grass - or MUD in our case because I'm guessing it will be one doozy of a mud season!

We used a template from Skip to My Lou for Sydney's Valentines and decided to gift smencils (scented pencils) instead of lollipops.
We grabbed this from Simple As That for Riley's buddy
Have a great Wednesday friends!

  4. Those are really cute. I made Valentine's this year too. It took a lot longer than simply signing a card, but he was so proud of them! These look great. I'm still a bit jealous of the snow.
