Sleepover Craft

As I mentioned before, we celebrated Riley's 11th Birthday last Friday evening with a sleepover.  Full of friends, giggling girls and good food, it was a wonderful celebration!  One of the fun things we did was decorate pillowcases.  I found a cool Mandala design and enlarged it so that each girl had their own.  Using fabric crayons (have you seen these Crayola 8-Count Fabric Crayons? So cool!) each girl outlined or colored the design to achieve their vision.  We then flipped the design so it was face down on a pillowcase. On the low iron setting, we transferred the design from paper to pillow.  The result was pretty impressive! Each girl did an equally beautiful job.  After that, they decided to sign one another's pillowcases to remember the day.  They had a blast personalizing them. A good time was had by all!
I would definitely say this craft was a hit at the party.  After working up an appetite, we feasted on yummy tacos, cake and ice cream.  More on that coming soon!

Have a great day friends!

  1. Sounds like a fun night for the girls! I love this pillow case craft! We did pillow cases at my older daughter's first sleepover. They signed each others with puffy paint and decorated them that way. This is so much cuter!
