Overnight Oats

I've been wanting to try overnight oats for quite some time! I've definitely pinned a few recipes in the past with every intention of making them but as most moms know, we don't always get to our plans! I'm happy to report that we finally made them and they are every bit as good as I had hoped they would be! These oats are perfect to take on the go, are economical and healthy. You can pretty much make any type of combination you like, combined with your favorite milk and sweetener.  Riley loves making different combinations and has been quite adventurous with her oats!
Strawberry Banana Overnight Oats
1/2 cup cashew milk
1/2 cup steel cut oatmeal
3/4 cup chopped strawberries
1/2 sliced banana
1 tsp maple syrup
In a mason jar, pour your oats and milk, add your fruit, sweetener and place lid on. Shake and place in your refrigerator overnight. In the morning, remove lid and stir. Enjoy your delicious, creamy oats! Also a great meal for the beach, camping, pool, so yummy and easy! Let me know if you give these a try! I would love to hear what your combo is!

  3. I have never even heard of it. This would be perfect for our Sunday morning commutes because we have to get up really early and travel for church so I make oatmeal and put it in to go cups. I love this idea.
