Flower Goodness

Since I gave you an update on our garden a couple days ago, I figured I'd give you an update on our cutting garden and the flowers that we've been so blessed to enjoy this season. Our cutting garden has been beautiful, and supplying a steady stream of flowers all Summer! I talked about my love of zinnias recently, are we are up to our eyeballs and zinnias! No complaints from here! what I love about these is that they're so easy and the more you cut, the more you get! Ours are really starting to bush out. With that, come more blooms! It's been a wonderful season for them! Here's a mini tour of what else we have blooming...
Our lantana is doing so well, it absolutely loves all the heat! We've seen a lot of hummingbirds enjoying them, along with butterflies and bees of course!
Our cleomes are quite a beautiful addition to our cutting garden and make spectacular bouquets.
Our day lilies also provide color and beauty to the side of our home and our blue hydrangea and butterfly bush offer bursts of blue and soon, deep plum/purple hues!

Did I mention this is one of my favorite times of the year?

  5. Lovely plants and blooms! It is getting to feel a bit fall-ish now, and my happiness is coming out! Summer is so hot here...just waiting for that first cool day of autumn! I saw a whole garden area just inside the Magic Kingdom at Disney World...and it was filled with all white cleomes! It was the first time I had ever seen them, and they are so spectacular! I'm glad you have some! :)
