Clearing the Camera

Playing catch up from last week.  Here are a couple pictures of our pumpkins.  I'll be the first to admit that two of our pumpkins were rotten!  Not sure how it happened but I knew carving would be difficult, the tops were really mushy so we decided to grab a couple cans of spray-paint we had on hand and sort of sealed the rot in (it worked!) The top golden pumpkin was pretty and shiny, while the black pumpkin was decorated with a silver sharpie.  Easy and quick!
This year the girls carved their pumpkins solo.  Here's Riley's spider...
and Sydney's ghost face.  She was determined to find a white pumpkin this year and was so proud of it.  She'll be sad to see it go but with our 70 degree temperatures this week, that's right 70 DEGREES!  Our spider and ghost faces will be getting softer by the day.
Our turkey decor is coming next!

  1. I love that black pumpkin with the Sharpie! We didn't decorate any pumpkins at all this year. :( I bought a few and I'll turn the biggest one into my pumpkin turkey decoration. I heard that squirrels were eating a lot of pumpkins this year. We didn't have that problem (luckily). The girls' pumpkins are so cute!
