COLD!

There's cold and there's COLD! Our temperatures this past weekend were the coldest we've seen this year, in fact they said they were the coldest since last February! It's been one crazy winter! Temperatures in the mid 50s and not much snow had us all wondering if we might dodge Winter's bullet this year. Always wanting to keep it real, mother nature dumped two storms on us recently. That, followed by a crazy arctic blast made us realize quickly that winter was indeed upon us!

All that to say, I think I've had my fill now! I'm ready for an early Spring and proof that the groundhog knew what he was doing! This week the crazy weather continues, with the job from -5 to 50° and rain! It's definitely been interesting!

What's the weather in your area these days?  Am I alone in dreaming of an early Spring?

  1. I feel for you! The cold and me do not get along, in any way shape or form! I'm a summer girl through and through (though I do like the cold when it's warm enough still that blankets are all you need to warm up!).
We had a lot of rain over the weekend, but that's nothing spectacular for Oregon. We had our giant rainstorms a couple months back, and it has been fairly normal since then. It was feeling Spring-like last week and a tad the week before, but we all know that it's still Winter, and it will still rain. We have, however, seen snow in March, so I'm not holding my breath that we're done with any *real* Winter weather yet!

Hope things warm up for you soon! And that you are at least able to enjoy being at home wrapped up and not have to go out and brave the frigid temperatures!

    1. I know I'm not alone :) It's been a strange Winter for so many! I do have to get up and go but that's what my giant down coat is for I suppose! :)

  2. I totally agree with you. This weekend was stupid cold here! Then we had a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain all day yesterday as the temps went back up. The roads were really bad last night and we had a 2 hour delay this morning even though it was 46F degrees! The roads were still icy. Now it's warmer outside of my house than inside and it's pouring. What crazy weather!! I'm ready for Spring too!

  3. Hi Jessica,
I am with you. I enjoy winter to ski, but this is what has been happening. We receive nice snow, then it gets to be 10 BELOW ZERO! No skiing for me in those temps. Then it gets to be a high of 48 and the snow melts!
    Spring Fever!

    1. I know, steady temps in the 30s would be fine but when I'm seeing single digits? No thanks!

  4. It finally has started to warm here, but then this morning there was this weird precip hitting me in the face. Some cross between sleet and rain.
We are working on planning a getaway!

  5. We've had some strange weather too. The kid's had Monday off for President's day anyway, but I'm certain it would have been called off for a snow day if they would have had school. It's all melting now though.
