Birthday and Welcome Summer!

Summer vacation is upon us and I'm definitely busy with new routines and with the kids home, I haven't been as diligent about blog posts. Sorry about that!  It's been busy. This past weekend we celebrated my youngest's 8th birthday! Birthdays sure do have a way of sneaking up on us! I feel like just last week we were walking her into kindergarten and soon, she'll be in 3rd grade. It's crazy how time is put into perspective when you're a parent. I've talked about that a lot here but the milestones like birthdays, holidays and the beginning/end of the school year seems to really put it ALL into perspective.

We had a great weekend celebrating. On Saturday she had a few school friends over to play and celebrate. It was pretty low key but fun for the girls. Sunday, we had a cookout, she unwrapped presents and of course, enjoyed cake and ice cream. She also woke up pretty thrilled with the fact that she's EIGHT! A new number, a whole year of new adventures and lots to look forward to!

I hope you guys have been enjoying these early Summer days! We've enjoyed the beach this week, a trip to the library and sewing camp! Lots of new fun!

  3. Sounds like a great birthday celebration! And the days are just a blur over here as well. I can not believe that we are already knocking on July's door! How is that possible?

  4. So fun! She's right behind my oldest who will be 9 in September, but they're both going into the same grade.
