Kids' Activity Cards up for grabs - Thursday giveaway!

Our school vacation just started yesterday and I am on a mission, make that a MAD MISSION to not hear the words, "I'm bored".  I decided to pull out one of Barefoot Books newest titles, Kids' Garden Cards yesterday.   Riley sat right down to "dig in" and they certainly did not disappoint!  They are broken into five different categories:
  1. Exploring the Garden
  2. Planting and Growing
  3. Fun with Plants
  4. Discovering Creatures
  5. Creative Garden Art
Riley (age 6) really liked the deck but had a few favorites including - Corn Husk Dolls (a card all about how to make your very own). Planting a Pizza Bed and of course, Creating Flower Crowns.  It also includes a little pamphlet all about garden tools and safety when using them!

I am giving this new deck to every little one (and bigger ones) that I know for Summer birthdays.  Check out the selection at www.barefootbysea.com

Another great Barefoot title includes Kids' Kitchen.  Recipes include Easy-Peasy Pancakes, Tropical Milkshakes and Pesto Presto

  1. First commenters rarely win, but still: that cookbook looks like fun! We keep busy around here with lots and lots of playdough, sprinkler action and just overall outdoor fun.

  6. We keep busy by planning a few events around town (zoo, for example). But we also try to not do TOO much. Sometimes staying at home and having picnics is fine with us!
