Blog Shout Out and Baked Chickpeas!

You know when you discover a new blog that you absolutely adore?  Well, I want to be the first to share a fantastic new foodie blog that I discovered a few weeks ago, Bakeaholic Mama creates healthy recipes with real ingredients and offers some new ideas for moms like me who often lack inspiration when it comes to new snacks, cooking and pleasing the littler ones in our life.  Be sure to check out her fabulous blog here!  This is where I discovered the fabulous recipe for Baked Chickpeas.

"How good could they really be?"  I thought to myself?

Suprisingly delicious! And, the younger set agreed!
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas
1 tbs olive oil
Spice Mix
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprica
1/8 tsp salt
Directions:
  • Strain and rinse chickpeas. Lay them on a double layer of paper towels to dry. Rub the tops gently with another paper towel to help soak up any moisture.
  • While they are air drying pre heat your oven to 425 and mix up your spice mix.
  • Toss your chickpeas in a bowl with olive oil evenly coating. Then coat with your spice mix.
  • Spread in an even layer on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30-45 minutes and enjoy.

  1. I make these all the time and love them. They always tend to blacken my baking sheet so using a liner makes sense. Duh ;-D haha. Am going to check out her blog!
