Community
Are you part of your town/city's community? I'm really beginning to enjoy taking advantage of all that our city has to offer. Yesterday, we were out and about, running errands but decided to walk instead of drive from place to place. The weather has been beautiful and warm, so we enjoyed taking in the beauty of the area. We went to our City Hall and while, I haven't ever really found the beauty in the building, the girls were interested in the architecture and the features of this huge, older building. We spent some time looking around and walked around the outside gardens after.
From there, we stopped and the girls enjoyed a slice of yummy pizza that boasts local ingredients and healthy options. It was fun and we were able to catch up with some school friends.
We ended our adventure by hitting our local library and registering for their wonderful Summer reading program. Of course we are already reading but this was a great way to track our progress and enjoy the incentives they offer. The girls made a craft, a Starry Night bookmark and ran into more friends!

I really like the little community that I live in. We have a lot available right within the city limits, but still have a small town feel, complete with a main street downtown. It is amazing what is available so close. I used to drive to the bigger city about 15 minutes away for all of my needs but in the past 5 years I have really searched out local sources of what I need, and it is all right here, just needed to open my eyes a little to see it :-) Looks like you guys are having a fun time!
