King Arthur Flour Gingerbread House Feature and a Giveaway!
This weekend, we started making our annual Gingerbread House. This is a family tradition we've been doing since Riley was a baby, almost ten years ago. The girls both look forward to this tradition as much as I do. I was pretty thrilled to find that my normal baking assistant, King Arthur Flour also offers Gingerbread House kits! Their King Arthur Vintage Gingerbread Kit is beautiful and so fun for the entire family. It includes a foolproof icing to adhere your house in place - or you can use hot glue to keep it super sturdy for the little ones. It also includes a bunch of nostalgic candy and trim pieces. I can almost see Santa peeking in the window!
First up, why do I always choose this brand over others? I believe that using a better quality flour results in better baking. King Arthur Flour puts their heart and soul into their high quality products and have been in business since 1790. Read the details here. This employee-owned company, owned by the bakers themselves, results in a common vision that we are lucky enough to share. King Arthur may be a tad pricier than some other brands but it's because they use only the finest wheat, subjected to strict guidelines resulting in the very best products you can buy. Look for King Arthur's products online here or in supermarkets nationwide.
"We run our company the way we make our mixes - with quality and integrity. Our business is based on three pillars: people, planet and profit. We make decisions not solely around profitability but on doing what's right for our customers and for our environment." I really think it's important to know where your food comes from - for our planet's future and for our children's future."
King Arthur Flour also has a wide variety of gift ideas, tools, mixes - so much more than I even imagined in their store. High quality and competitively priced, I encourage you to check out some of the variety. I was particularly intrigued by their Holiday Mixes for those who have little time to bake from scratch or had grand expectations regarding their baking plans (ahem, like me) and find themselves scrambling to make and give a delicious homemade items. They also have wonderful Gift Sets, perfect for friends, family, teachers, neighbors or yourself (yes, even YOU need a gift after all your holiday planning!)

Shop King Arthur's entire line of products here and be sure to like them on Facebook, Twitter and on Pinterest to be in the know. Lastly, I utilize their recipe index frequently and consult their baking education page, which is really cool!
Their Gingerbread House Kit comes with an assortment of vintage inspired candy and freshly baked gingerbread. This smells so good - seriously, I had a hard time avoiding chomping off a piece!
The folks over at King Arthur Flour are giving one lucky Barefoot by the Sea reader one of their Gingerbread House Kits!
