I've been a mother for over 10 years now and am well aware of the struggle that many families face when it comes to feeding their children nutritionally balanced and healthy food. Any stroll through the interior aisles of the grocery store are evidence of the challenge so many of us face. Junk carbs everywhere, with seemingly no nutritional value whatsoever but fun bags, colors, not to mention the favorite snack that "so-and-so" brings to school. I do realize you need to have the balance, at the same time I cringe at some of the things I see kids eating these days.  Glad there's so many more, new, nutritionally sound foods they continue to come out on the market.  Enter Veggie Fries!
Let me start by saying we aren't big on french fries in my house. We do however, love vegetables and potatoes served in a healthy manner. Veggie Fries keeps that idea in mind, in fact it's at the core of the company! Started by a family who realized the struggle, they developed a product with potatoes and fresh vegetables, with a crunchy baked outside. Something kids and adults would love but not feel bad about. Non GMO, made with potatoes grown in the Northwestern USA and fresh vegetables. Each serving contains 2 servings of vegetables and are vegan and vegetarian friendly.  You can find Veggie Fries at these retailers.  Please note, Stop and Shop carries only the Broccoli and Carrot flavors.  I found them easily in the frozen food aisle with the other potato products.  What makes these different?  They are the first-to-market vegetable-based french fry, Veggie Fries are crafted with a sophisticated blend of select farm-grown vegetables, legumes, herbs and spices and real potatoes sourced within the U.S. Veggie Fries are available in four varieties, including:
o   Broccoli
o   Carrot
o   Chickpea and Red Pepper
o   Tuscan Bean and Herb
We tried the Broccoli and the Carrot flavors.  They are crispy/crunchy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside.  The kids definitely enjoyed them and the adults did as well.  Think of them as a health-ified fry, Veggie Fries!  As a Mom, I loved how convenient these were at the end of a busy day.  After preheating the oven to 450 degrees, they are ready and perfectly golden in about 18 minutes.  No more "sneaking" in veggies, these are a delicious side you can feel confident about feeding your family.
Check your local Stop and Shop from May 15th through June 11th when they will be hosting a promotion for Veggie Fries where shoppers will receive $0.50 off their Veggie Fries purchases. Share information on this promotion with your readers for their chance to try Veggie Fries with their families!

Be sure to reach for a healthier option the next time you're looking for a side at your next party or barbecue!
