I'm thirsty, how 'bout a Nik L Nip?
Candy, it's a tricky subject around my house. You don't want to give too much but if the kids never have it, then they become fanatics about sugar. There's a fine line that parents have to consider about candy consumption. That being said, I think back about the days when I was younger and some of my favorite candy. I can just hear the J Geils Band in my head as I write about the old days...
Wax filled with colored, sugar juice only identifiable by color (I believe my favorite was "green"). Did I mention you could also chew your wax after the juice was gone?
Oh, how I loved the Chunky bar.
M&Ms were supposed to be the favorite but they pulled out so Reese's Pieces won ET's heart (mine too). I'm pretty sure I had this t-shirt.
The fact that these were even manufactured back in the day is astonishing. My Mom wouldn't let me have them but one day I walked down to the store with a friend and bought a pack. I felt so guilty I couldn't even appreciate my cloud of sugar smoke as I puffed away.
Never having purchased these myself, I was in stunned to find this Sour Flush Candy, complete with plunger. So wrong.
I am confident in saying that my girls will NOT be consuming these retro delights but I bet a few of you readers have in the past.
Oh, yes. I remember them well.
