Like a mirror image...in bizzaro world!
Right before Christmas this year, we received the most beautiful cookie plate imaginable. Each cookie, looked like a little work of art, complete with glittery details and beautiful color.
We decided to duplicate these cookies on Christmas Eve...
Can you see the resemblance?
Sydney was rather proud of her pink and purple "plop" cookie in the center of the tray and someone (who shall remain nameless) decided to make the Star Trek symbol out of a cookie but two fingers broke off during the baking process. Our frosting colors are rather frightening as well...the mustard and bright purple? Clearly, Wilton needs to reinvent some of their colors or I need to hit the grocery store before Christmas Eve to select my frosting options. But, we had fun anyway!
By the way....we'll be taking orders for next year. Get in line....these will go fast, especially the broken nerdie cookies...
The cookies we received were from Sandy's Baking Memories, the most fabulous bake shop that offers wonderful creations and personalized service. These cookies have a delicious hint of lemon that make them different than the usual suspects. They were each individually wrapped with pretty little ribbon closures. The quality is hard to imagine but trust me, it's there! She does custom orders and her cookies are perfect for party favors, showers and celebrations of all sorts. She also has a Facebook page, become a fan here!
