Happy Second Day of Summer!

Our first day of Summer (yesterday) was actually our last day of school.  We had a half day so the remainder of the day was spent celebrating with an ice cream cone and some nature exploring.  Miss Sydney is a wee bit ***timid***around bugs so she spent some time looking out the window (from a safe perch) at whatever critters she could find...

So I finally found something that can actually tame my almost three year old!  The problem is, I don't really feel like keeping bugs on hand to do so.  Then again, maybe I should start a compost pile and keep it handy, just in case....
