5 ingredient no bakes!
I know, another no bake recipe.
Yes.
We eat a lot of no bake treats around here. We enjoy them and I love that they are simple, tasty and healthier than the usual stuff you can grab at the grocery store.
Through some experimenting last week, we came up with a five ingredient no bake bar or "clump" as the girls sometimes call them. Five relatively inexpensive ingredients that equal smiles all around? That's a recipe keeper!
2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
2 cups cheerios or another cereal of your choice
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Simply combine sugar and honey over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add your peanut butter. Pour that mixture over your cereal (along with any other add ins you want...chocolate chips, dried cherries, cranberries, almonds...but that would mean 6 ingredients). Form into bars and cut, roll into balls or clumps as my girls enjoy them. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
This sounds yummy! I'm a fan of no-bake treats as well!
ReplyDeleteI think any simple, all natural treat is a win-win in my book. It's a snack you can feel decent about indulging in...we make them ALL the time! Hope you have a lovely weekend! :)
DeleteNo-bake treats are the best! I will definitely be tryine this one. Maybe for a cooking class??
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday to you my dear!
