Blueberries!
With time flying these days, we finally got over to our local farm to pick our blueberries! It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day here and it honestly was one of our favorite days of the Summer. There is just something about being on a farm, in the middle of the day, when it's quiet and we are simply chatting with one another about everything: school, vacations, Summer, friends and of course, BERRIES!
The girls and I picked quite a few for a couple of hours. We have been enjoying them all week long. They are so tasty this year! Perfect for a snack, in cereal, yogurt or of course in our beloved smoothies! Of course, no blueberry adventure would be complete without baking a big 'ol batch of our favorite muffins! We've tried so many recipes over the past couple of years, they are all yummy! Here are a few of our favorites:

We also managed to pick raspberries before they were past but we almost missed them! Mmmmmmm..... Blueberries! We have a vendor in town that is selling blueberries, and I absolutely have to get there and get some before it's to late!
ReplyDeleteYou have local peaches? You are so lucky! If we have any peach farms/trees around here, I haven't heard of them yet. Maybe I should look into that!
