31 Days of Holiday: Time isn't on our side (Growing Up)
The holidays always make me incredibly sentimental as I reminisce about years past and family traditions. Halloween is literally right around the corner, I think about all the costumes my kids have gone through and their smiling faces with the anticipation of Halloween night.
After that, we are approaching Thanksgiving, full of tradition and wonderful food. That will be history within a matter of weeks and then Christmas will be upon us!
We get so wrapped up in the approaching holiday season that I really try to get back into "sponge mode" and stop to take it all in. Let's appreciate the goodness of what's going on right now. Let's remember that these days won't be like this forever.
Here are a few things I'm savoring now...
- Lots of smiley face artwork
- Long hikes
- Raking and doing fall yardwork
- Raking and Playing in the leaves
- Apple picking
- Friendship
- Bird watching
- Bike rides
- Warm hugs
- Puppy playing
and realizing it's only a matter of time before my girls are grown!
Because it seems like just yesterday this girl...
looked like this girl...
and this one..
looked like this one...

I agree that time is going too fast and it will be over before I know it. I hope I have a lot of grand kids. Do you have a bird feeder set up? We have really been enjoying our birds as well but they eat a ton of food.
