Harbor Sweets Handmade Chocolates Feature and Giveaway
Let me start by saying there is something magical about receiving a good quality box of sweets. Sure, we can say we like chocolate but when you get a really good piece of chocolate? I feel like it's a spectacular gift, truly! Enter Harbor Sweets Handmade Chocolates, as magical as it gets! I first discovered these amazing chocolates years ago when my grandparents were given a box around at Christmas. I remember taking that first bite of the most delicious, Sweet Slope. Since then, my Mom lived in Salem and I was over the moon thrilled when I realized that Harbor Sweets was in the heart of her town!
This New England-based Chocolatier recently celebrated 40 years of making all natural dark and milk chocolates. They are known for their delicious signature Sweet Sloops and recently introduced their new line of hand-crafted truffles called Salt & Ayre. These are made with 70 percent dark chocolate, and include delicious flavors like Chai, Café au Lait, Hazelnut and Espresso. These bite size chocolates include three popular sea salt pieces: Caramel with pink Himalayan Sea Salt, Crystalized Ginger, with Thai Ginger Sea Salt and Almond Buttercrunch Toffee (my personal favorite) garnished with Chipotle Sea Salt.

Harbor Sweets also has their product lines including their Classics, original nautical designs including those Sweet Sloops that I remembered years ago, Sand Dollars and Marblehead Mints. They also have Dark Horse Chocolates for the horse lover and the Perennial Sweets (Topiary Toffee, Sweet Iris & Nantucket Basket).
Harbor Sweets started off small in 1973 and have grown steadily over the past 40+ years. Each year, Harbor Sweets makes Christmas happier for so many! The majority of the work is done by hand, each employ uses original chocolate-making techniques using copper kettles and wooden paddles and use fresh local butter and cream. Harbor Sweets focuses on quality and you can literally taste the difference.
If you live in the Northeast, be sure to come by Harbor Sweets for their big Open House from Thursday, December 3rd through Sunday, December 6th! During this time purchases over $100 receive a 10% discount! Punch cookies and, of course, chocolates are served!
