Thankful Thoughts
At our house, we've kept a Grateful Log every year since our first daughter was born. We also started doing a Thankful Tree the year my second daughter was born. During the month of November and at random times throughout the year, we make a point to record the things we are most grateful for in our lives. It's fun to reminisce and see what we've said over the years. Sometimes deep and sentimental, sometimes fun and silly but one thing's certain: this is something we will always cherish, a tradition I'm so happy to have started.
It's important to teach our children and remind ourselves of the things that mean the most to us in life. Keeping a journal or log really makes me remember and cherish these things. Take in and appreciate the blessings you have in our life. Sometimes the simple, purposeful act of writing it on paper reminds us to remember, to take it all in. Life is busy but if we take a step back to reflect, we realize how important it is to do so. They can be really big things or simple things that bring the most joy.
What are you most grateful for today?Jessica
