Cauliflower Pizza Crust: Hear Me Out
By now I'm sure most of you have seen cauliflower crust pizza. I've had my eye on it for a while now but I first attempt of making it was a couple of weeks ago. Let me start by saying I was not a believer. Years ago I made some cauliflower pudding which was gritty and just....not right. I often wondered if you try to invent new recipes out of old favorites if they'd actually work. I'm happy to report this cauliflower crust pizza was surprising in a good way. It was yummy and I actually felt like I was eating a slice of pizza. Not an exact replica of your favorite pie but close enough. I'd say the number one key to this crust is to make sure your cauliflower is completely puréed. You don't want to chunky pizza crust! Top with sauce, your favorite veggies or meat and cheese and you won't be disappointed (at least I wasn't)!
Cauliflower Pizza Crust
Steam cauliflower, drain and place in bowl
Mix in egg, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 425°
On baking sheet, spread parchment paper
Flatten your pizza crust out as you would a normal pizza crust
Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly browned
Let me close by saying my kids even enjoyed this. Now I wish I planted cauliflower in my garden! There's always next year! Happy Weekend!

I was at TJ's this week and they also sell raw riced cauliflower. Yay!! I'm a fan of cauliflower crust pizza. Mine didn't turn out as pretty as yours but it was good. Now to try and make a good vegan version of it! Happy Friday, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI have to check that out at TJs!

Thanks Carla! It was good!
DeleteCauliflower Crust is really popular on the "plan" that I follow. I still haven't tried it though, I should! I have made a zucchini crusted pizza before, and enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for inspiring me!!
I was surprised how good it was!
