Happy Saturday Friends! Can you believe that next weekend is the 4th of July weekend? We are firming up plans but hoping it will be full of fun and making memories!  What better time to find out about some other options when it comes to your 4th feast!

First, let me say that I am not a vegetarian. And I am not a vegan. I am an equal opportunity eater who is determined to raise conscientious eaters with a love of good food and healthy food!  There, I said it! In general, we don't eat many processed foods; we avoid high fructose corn syrup and foods with artificial flavors and colors; and we try to eat local and organic as much as possible. We also talk a lot about at almost every why we eat certain foods and why we don't eat others. We discuss making choices and ones that will fuel our bodies and minds. The choices we make can affect how we look and feel! 

So while I'm not a vegetarian, we are eating less meat as a family. So, I was excited when offered this opportunity with Moms Meet to try Lightlife Smart Dogs.

The Verdict!

Lightlife and Moms Meet sent me coupons to try whatever products we wanted so I was able to pick up a variety of products. I grabbed both the Smart Dogs and the Smart Sausages Italian for this review. 

The Sausages were yummy and totally grill worthy! With the traditional italian flavor, these would be a great addition to your favorite pasta or pizza. We decided to grill them up with peppers and onions for a delicious alternative to the usual suspects. We really enjoyed them! 

I'm not usually a hot dog fan but my husband was eager to try these. He thought they were tasty and similar to a regular hot dog when topped with his favorite relish and mustard.  A great, healthier alternative to your favorite dog.
