Al Fresco Summer Grilling Feature

*Please note, I did receive free Al Fresco product to facilitate this review however, all opinions, as always are my own*
We are about at the Summer half way point. Perhaps that's wishful thinking but the weather lately certainly has that midsummer feel. It's a great time of year: farmers markets are in full bloom, our garden is flourishing and those long lazy days of summer are here! There's still a lot of summer living to be had!

One thing I love about summer is the ease of the grill. No need to heat the house with our oven, it's relatively easy and mess free. Nothing gives more satisfaction than a protein filled, delicious, grilled dinner. I've partnered with Al Fresco to feature their delicious grill ready options! Their dinner sausage varieties don't get much easier! With flavors including Sweet Italian, Spinach and Feta, Spicy Jalapeno (my fav) and more, you're sure to please your guests! The other night, I tried their Sweet and Smokey BBQ dinner sausage. Delicious! A little more about this delicious sausage:

  • Made with lean, skinless chicken meat
  • 70% less fat than pork sausage (USDA)
  • 30% less sodium than pork sausage (USDA)
  • Gluten free
  • Fully cooked - ready in minutes
These are perfect with a classic peppers and onions or a side of delicious relish. However you like them, you can be as creative or as basic as you'd like! I love serving mine with a side of fresh salsa for a deliciously fresh, simple meal!
This summer, Al Fresco has teamed up with three of their favorite food bloggers for their Summer Grilling Sweepstakes!  Vote here for your favorite recipe using their Sweet and Smokey BBQ sausage and enter to win $500 and a new grill! Good luck!

  1. We have not dusted off our grill all season!! Pathetic. We've talked about it though, so maybe this weekend?!

  3. It's far too late in the summer for the weather we have been having in the PNW - we keep getting rain and overcast days and it's just not very summer like at all! But at least it's not miserable and 100 degrees out, I suppose!
We're moving towards the end of August and into a place where we will finally be able to grill (apartments in these areas don't allow you do to do so) and we are excited. Granted, we don't have a grill yet, but we will be picking one up as soon as possible after we're in the new place! :)
