Explore Rhode Island Staycation #sponsored

Here we are, July! Playing a little catch up over here on the blog. Not making excuses but life has been busy, fun and we've been thoroughly enjoying the Summer! Recently, we took a trip to Rhode Island. I used to go all the time as a kid but it had been several years. It was as beautiful as I remembered and we went on a warm day in June.

First up, we visited the Roger Williams Zoo. If you happen to be in New England and get the opportunity, this is a great zoo to visit! One of the oldest zoos in the country, this zoo is located in Providence in a 40 acre setting. Full of animals, fun and educational opportunities, it's a great place to spend the day! The giraffes were our favorite!
Providence is a great city to visit. Downtown offers historic architecture and an array of interesting attractions. The dining offers something for everyone. In fact, Restaurant Weeks run July 9-22 so there's plenty of time to take full advantage of this great spot!

Next up, the Newport's Cliff Walk! AH-MAZ-ING! It truly was an adventure with breathtaking views and beauty. This was my very favorite part of the getaway. Newport is beautiful!
Finally, no trip to Rhode Island would be complete without a visit to the shore! As a kid, we always visited Misquamicut but there are tons of beautiful coastline to discover. Block Island is also a beautiful island to consider!
We are lucky to live in such a beautiful place! I love that there is always something new to explore!
Thank you to the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitor's Bureau for suggesting this New England Getaway. Please note, I did not receive compensation for this review however, I did receive passes to the Roger Williams Zoo. All opinions, as always are my own.

  3. Fun! My sister is leaving Vermont today after a 2 week Waldorf class. I wish they had time to explore New England a bit, but they are on quite a schedule to spend time here before they have to get back to work.
