I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It's been a strange Fall here in New England, with really mild temperatures. I've heard from a lot of folks that Thanksgiving snuck up on them - me included! Today they have  40 goats that rotate through the rich pastures and leafy woodlands that characterize this Pyreneesian subregion of Vermont. As a result, the goats’ diet shifts naturally with the seasons – from abundant bouquets of spring wildflowers (wild chocolate mint, clover, honeysuckle), to lush late-summer legumes and berries, to crispy fall foliage (oak leaves, apples, ferns), to winter supplements of white pine, hemlock saplings, and premium (locally-sourced) hay. This results  into the exceptionally floral and creamy milk used as the principal ingredient and primary flavoring agent in all our award-winning farmstead goat milk caramels and small batch cheeses.
